How do I know if my child needs support?
This question is very common, and it’s okay to feel this way. Every child has their own time, their own way, and their own form of expressing what they feel. Sometimes, small signs in daily life are already an invitation to look more closely at what’s happening.
For younger children, it’s worth observing how they communicate, play, relate to others, and react to situations. Speech difficulties, little interaction with other children, frequent crying outbursts, or endless restlessness are some of the signs that may indicate something needs attention.
In older children and teenagers, certain behaviors stand out:
Changes in behavior:
constant sadness, aggression, or an apathetic attitude that wasn’t common before.
Difficulties at school or with friends:
decline in performance, lack of concentration, or trouble fitting in.
Physical complaints without a medical explanation:
frequent headaches or stomachaches can, in fact, be linked to emotions.
You don’t need to wait for something “big” to happen before seeking help. Sometimes, a conversation, attentive listening, or an evaluation can bring more ease, security, and direction. At Creatively, we’re ready to welcome you and walk alongside you and your family.
			Frequently Asked Questions
We’ve gathered here some of the questions we often hear from families. If you have these doubts too, know that it’s completely okay and we’re here to help!
Is there a right age to start support?
There isn’t a “right” age, but rather the right moment, and that varies from child to child. Sometimes, even very young ones already show signs that they need closer attention. The earlier we start, the smoother the journey.
My child doesn’t speak much yet. Should I be worried?
Every child has their own pace, but it’s important to observe if there are other communication or interaction difficulties. If something keeps leaving you unsure, it’s worth scheduling an evaluation.
Is it normal for my child not to enjoy playing with other children?
Some children are more reserved, and that’s okay. But when isolation is constant or the child shows difficulty interacting, it may be worth investigating with a professional.
The school said my child is having difficulties. Is that a sign?
It can be. Learning challenges, lack of attention, hyperactive behavior, or disinterest may indicate that something isn’t flowing well. A specialized evaluation can help a lot.
Can mood and behavior changes be a reason for concern?
Changes are part of growing up, but when they’re very intense or frequent (such as aggression, constant sadness, or isolation), it’s important to seek support to better understand what’s happening.
Will therapy interfere with school routine?
On the contrary! Support can help children and teenagers handle everyday school challenges better. And when necessary, we also talk with the school to align everything.
Do you only work with children?
No! Even though our space is playful and colorful, Creatively is for all ages: children, teenagers, adults, and seniors. Our focus is development, independence, and quality of life in every stage of life.
Do parents take part in the process?
Absolutely! The family is an essential part of everything. In many cases, we guide parents throughout the process and maintain a close partnership.
Does therapy involve the use of medication?
Not always. Here, sessions are focused on listening, strategies, and personalized interventions. If medication needs to be considered, we recommend an evaluation with a trusted physician.
